Just Means a Moment Ago

Use just with the present perfect for something that happened a very short time ago. The action is finished, but it still feels fresh and important now. That is why the present perfect fits so well here.

• Example: They have just arrived.
• Example: I've just sent the email.

Quick Rule

• have / has + just + past participle
• use it for very recent actions

If it happened a moment ago, just is usually close by.
