Present Simple Passive

Use the passive when the focus is on the action or result, not on the person who does it. In the present simple passive, use am / is / are plus a past participle. This form is common for routines, processes, and facts.

• Example: The rooms are cleaned every day.
• Example: English is spoken here.

Quick Rule

• am / is / are + past participle
• use it when the doer is unknown, unimportant, or obvious

The action matters most, so the doer can stay in the background.
