Grammar notes

Asking and Saying No in the Present Perfect

Use haven't / hasn't for negatives and Have / Has for questions. The past participle does not change. This tense still looks at the connection with now.

  • Example: I haven't finished yet.
  • Example: Have you done the report?

Quick Rule

  • negative -> haven't / hasn't + past participle
  • question -> Have / Has + subject + past participle

The helper changes position, but the main pattern stays steady.
