Present Perfect with a Result Now

Use the present perfect when a past action matters now. We often use it without saying exactly when the action happened. The form is have / has + past participle.

• Example: I have finished my homework.
• Example: She has gone home.

Quick Rule

• I / you / we / they -> have + past participle
• he / she / it -> has + past participle

The action is in the past, but the result is still with us now.
