Grammar notes
Add -ed (Past Simple: Regular Verbs)
Many verbs make the past simple with -ed.
This is the easy, steady pattern: one action happened, and now it is finished.
Read the whole sentence and listen for that finished-time feeling.
- Example: We played after school.
- Example: Dad worked at home yesterday.
Quick Rule
- base verb + -ed -> regular past form
- use it for finished actions in the past
If the verb is regular, -ed is your reliable little backpack.
