Someone to Do Something (Verb Pattern: Object + To-Infinitive)

This pattern uses a person before to + verb.

You often see it after verbs like want, ask, or tell.

The sentence shows who should do the action.

• Example: Mum asked me to help.
• Example: I want you to come early.

Quick Rule

• verb + person + to + base verb
• the object tells us who does the action

This pattern is great when the sentence needs one more person on stage.
