Special Comparative Forms (Comparatives: Irregular)
A few very common adjectives have special comparative forms.
These do not use -er or more in the normal way.
They are common enough to be worth learning early.
- Example: good -> better
- Example: bad -> worse
Quick Rule
- learn irregular comparatives as whole forms
- they are common in everyday English
These are the VIPs of comparison: a little odd, but very useful.
