Than Is the Bridge (Comparatives: Using Than)

When you compare two things, than connects them.

The comparative form comes first, and than introduces the second part of the comparison.

Without than, the comparison often feels unfinished.

• Example: My brother is older than me.
• Example: This task is more difficult than the last one.

Quick Rule

• comparative form + than + second thing
• use it to show both sides of the comparison

Than is the little bridge between two ideas.
