Phrasal Verbs That Stay Together
Inseparable phrasal verbs keep the verb and particle together. The object comes after the whole expression. You cannot move the object into the middle.
- Example: I'm looking for my keys.
- Example: She looks after her brother.
Quick Rule
- verb + particle stay together
- put the object after the whole phrasal verb
If you split this type, the sentence stops sounding natural.
