Grammar notes
Going To for Intentions (Future: Intention)
Use be going to when you already have an intention or plan in your mind.
It often means you decided before this moment.
It is a calm, useful way to talk about what you plan to do next.
- Example: I am going to study tonight.
- Example: We are going to visit Grandma.
Quick Rule
- am / is / are going to + base verb
- use it for plans and intentions
If the idea is already in your head, going to is a strong choice.
