🗝️ Add the Owner (Possessive "s")

English can show ownership by adding 's to a person or animal. Lisa's brother means “the brother of Lisa”, and my friend's car means “the car of my friend”. This pattern is short, clear, and very useful.

  • Example: Sarah's bag is new.
  • Example: Where is the cat's food?

Quick Rule

  • owner + 's + thing
  • the owner comes first

Put the owner in front, add 's, and the sentence has its key.
