Grammar notes
🚫 Not Today! (To Be Negatives)
To make a negative sentence, add not. With I, we say I'm not or I am not. With he / she / it, we often say isn't. With you / we / they, we often say aren't. A negative sentence tells us that something is not true right now.
- Example: I'm not hungry.
- Example: They aren't at home.
Quick Rule
- I → am not / 'm not
- he / she / it → isn't
- you / we / they → aren't
If the answer is no, call in not and let it do the job.
