To make have got negative, add not inside the pattern. Use haven't got with I / you / we / they. Use hasn't got with he / she / it. These forms say that somebody does not have something.

  • Example: I haven't got a headache.
  • Example: He hasn't got a ticket.

Quick Rule

  • haven't got = not have (I / you / we / they)
  • hasn't got = not have (he / she / it)
